Thinking of getting a spray tan the day before you are getting married? I hope you won't...
I am not a fan of spray tans. I once had a client who went for her first spray tan the day before her wedding and I have been horrified by spray tans ever since! The beautiful bride-to-be looked like an orange disaster. She spend all night exfoliating and it turns out that spray tans are really hard to remove! I felt so sorry for her because she should have spend the night having her beauty sleep instead of stressfully searching the internet on "how to remove orange"- tips.
"Such a shame" I thought when I entered her room the morning of her weddingday. In my opinion she looked really lovely at the bridal trial, she didn't need that extra tan. And her complexion certainly didn't need to be ruined by some oompa loompa spray tan salon...
Luckily, thanks to layers of neutralizers and foundation, I was somewhat able to fix the skincolor so she could walk down the aisle without totally looking like a carrot. But still, when I look at her wedding photos, my eyebrows furrow in pity. The pictures are gorgeous and I'm sure no one else will notice anything "wrong" with them, but I know for a fact that this beautiful bride could have looked much more radiating without the spraytan and without all those correcting layers of makeup.
So ever since that day, when people come to me for a bridal makeup trial and tell me that they are planning to have spray tan, my heart skips a beat. I will NEVER encourage anyone to get a spray tan... But if you are really convinced that it will make you look better on your weddingday pictures, then please schedule a trial at a professional and experienced spray tan salon at least one month before your wedding date. This way you can get a sneak peek at how the results will turn out. Also think about having your make-up trial with a spray tan already applied, because there's a difference when applying makeup with or without a spray tan.
Oh and lastly, NEVER EVER have a spray tan the day before your wedding. I don't know much about spray tans, except that they can go horribly wrong. I also know that they can stain your precious white wedding dress...I've seen it... I'd say just skip the whole thing when it's already 2 days before your wedding, it's not worth the risk. You will look lovely anyway.. promise..
